Providing protection to investors is a key part of the OSC’s mandate. The OSC works to protect investors by making and enforcing rules governing the securities industry in Ontario. Our Statement of Priorities sets out specific investor-related initiatives for the 2010-11 fiscal year.
You can also help protect yourself by being an informed investor. In this section, you will find out how to protect against fraud and how to learn more about investing. You will also find tools and resources you can use to do a background check on an individual or firm, or research an investment.
