About the OSC
Securities Advisory Committee
The Securities Advisory Committee (SAC) provides advice to the OSC on legislative and policy initiatives and capital markets trends.
At the request of the OSC, the SAC provides advice and comments on the legal, regulatory and market implications of any aspect of Commission rules, policies, operations and administration. On its own initiative, the SAC may report to the OSC at any time on issues it feels the OSC should address or be made aware of. The SAC generally meets once per month.
Members have an excellent knowledge of Ontario securities law, significant practice experience, and a strong interest in the development of securities regulatory policy.
